The BetaForce SL88 is a high end gaming laptop that comes with some of the most technologically advanced features on the market. This laptop features a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 2GB video card and an Intel i7-3930K 3.20GHz Processor with 6 cores. This gaming laptop comes with 16GB of RAM and a 750GB hard drive. All SL88s are sold with a Windows 7 Home Premium key and a DVD/CD 8x multi-drive. The Intel Ultimate N-6300 Wireless LAN Module comes as the standard networking card and this system comes with a standard carrying bag. The SL88 has a 1-year limited parts and labor warranty.

 

All in all, there aren’t many upgrades that you will need to get this laptop working at a higher potential. Upgrading the processor to an i7-3960 Extreme Edition could be seen as overkill, but others may find it useful in the future. Upgrading the standard thermal compound to the IC Diamond Thermal Compound is critical so you aren’t overheating. This upgrade is just $25 so you won’t be breaking the bank. If you are going to use this as your primary gaming computer, you might want to consider a 2nd or 3rd hard drive and utilize the RAID storage upgrades. These are fairly inexpensive and could help you out in the event of data loss. Upgrading to the 3-year limited parts and labor warranty is also recommended.
